I bought a new tablet and it's very good, but it won't stay asleep! It seems that Aquamail keeps waking it up checking mail. I have a few accounts configure, one Exchange and two IMAPs.
When asleep the network remains connected (it's Ethernet) and I don't want to disable that if I can avoid it. Any suggestion as to how to avoid the constant wake-ups?
Bottom line: only sync when I'm there using the tablet

Aqua has settings for night mode (weekend too) where you can suppress sounds / vibration / LED *and* turn off mail sync if so desired.
Those are in their own section in the app's settings, under "Night / weekend mode".

Thank you for the response, but that's a different issue. I just want aquamail to do nothing while the tablet is asleep, rather than at set times.
Example: I use the table off and on during the day, putting it to sleep between sessions. However, Aquamail keeps waking it up. At night I have Aquamail sleep by time (to keep notifications from waking ME up).
Is there anyway (other than quitting before sleeping) to achieve this?

Um, sounds like you want to disable scheduled mail sync *and* push mail in AquaMail settings?

But that would kill mail checking altogether when coming out of sleep, wouldn't it? I just want tablet sleep to sleep aquamail too and then resume when coming back to life.

Um, don't understand, sorry.
The normal operation is to check mail every X minutes, or push mail.... whether the device is asleep or not.
Aqua will not keep your tablet from sleeping all the time -- it will wake up, check mail as configured, then let the device go back to sleep.... Rinse, repeat...
