Title: Search within a message is gone
Post by: braddegs on June 26, 2014, 06:18:00 pm
With the latest build I am no longer able to search within an email.  I use this capability every day to scan log emails for errors.  The only search capability I now see is to search the web.

The "search content" command is/was put there by the system when you select text, not by Aqua.

I just checked -- it's still there on devices with Android 4.3, and is gone in 4.4.

To be really sure, I installed Aqua 1.3.8 on a 4.4 device, and the icon is not there. On a 4.3 device, it is.

I am needing to search within some long emails too. Is there any work around for Android 4.4?

Thanks,
Annemarie

Well, I don't have one -- this change was made by Google -- and I'm sure it's "working as intended" from their point of view, as usual.
