I'm using the latest version of AquaMail (1.4.0) on my tablet (Samsung Tab 3/ Android 4.2.2).
When I delete a message with AquaMail it asks whether I want to move it to the 'Deleted' folder, I choose 'Yes' and it does that on the tablet. When I check in my desktop email client the message is still in the inbox. I have also checked the webmail client and it's there as well. I'm using IMAP for this account, using SmarterMail 10.3 on the server. This also happens with another IMAP account on a different host as well. Also with AquaMail on my cell phone too.
Any ideas? Am I missing a settings some where?
If you need it I can create an email account on the server for you to test against.

Thanks for the reply. That worked on one of my IMAP accounts but doesn't seem to work on the other one on another server. It moves it to that folder but my desktop client seems to still keep a copy unread in the inbox as well as the one moved to the trash folder.

It would help me to know:
- What mail service this account is with (GoDaddy, Gmail, Yahoo etc)
- Whether the Deleted folder in Aqua is set to sync with the server. You can tell two ways: 1) if there is a color triangle to the left of Deleted in the account list 2) long press Deleted, check if the top item in the popup menu says "-> ServerFolderNameHere"
If the folder is not set to sync with the server, please do this:
- Long press the account -> options and folders -> folders -> find the server side Deleted folder (Trash, Trash Can, Deleted Items, Bin, etc.), tap it, choose "Sync with Deleted".
If the folder *is* set to sync, please use web mail to check whether Aqua moves your messages on the server.
If it is, then the issue is with your desktop mail app's configuration.
If Aqua is not moving messages to Deleted in web mail, then please create a debug log, with "raw data", as described below.
