Title: Inline Images Not Recognized
Post by: Solutions Etcetera on January 02, 2013, 08:42:34 pm
I thought I had finally found a full featured email client for Android that I can actually use.

Nexus 4 - JB 4.2.1

Just received a message from a client using the stock Mac OS X client, with 2 inline images (PNG). The placeholders for the images are shown within the text, but are blank. And there is no indication of any attachments.

I forwarded this email to a gmail address and looked at the forwarded mail in the stock gmail client and, while they don't display there either, I see the attachments and can view them as such.

This is a deal breaker for me as almost all of my clients use Macs, and the default screen captures are PNG's. Is there a setting I have missed or is this a problem with AquaMail

Inline images, including PNG files are certainly supported, but it's possible that the structure of these messages is something I've never encountered before, and so the app has trouble dealing with them.

I would be happy to investigate. Since it sounds like it happens with any message sent by Mac Mail, could you send a test message like this to kmansoft / at sign / gmail / dot com, or ask someone to do that?

Can't say I've received anything.

Could you maybe send another one, to "kmansoft / gmail / dot com" or to "kman / yandex / dot ru"?

Thanks in advance.

Resent to both addresses.
