Title: how do I edit text in a previous email in the reply thread of the email?
Post by: jfstreeter@gmail.com on April 14, 2014, 07:10:54 pm
When I reply to an email, I need the abilty to edit text in the previous email. Aqua mail is not allowing me to edit any of the previous emails, only reply in line.

Need to edit the text while keeping html coding (color, bold, etc.)

and not lose inline attached images.

This is critical for me. I will need to switch email apps if this is not possible for replies or forwarding emails.

If what is not possible?

Editing new/old text combined, or keeping formatting and inline images?

The former is possible: use the pencil icon on the right side of the bar that separates new and old message content (where it also says "include original message").

The latter is not. I might make a change to convert "old" inline images to attachments, but the rich text editor I'm using won't be able to deal with arbitrary HTML code that can be found in the "old" content.
