Title: IMAP Folders randomly show SAME messages then AUTO-CORRECT
Post by: bellyman on April 02, 2014, 02:46:48 am
Samsung S3 - Using FastMail IMAP.  Most recent version of Aquamail (on auto-update)

For some reason every so often (two or three times in the past say 6mths) Aqualmail has a problem with the folders.  Attached are a BEFORE and AFTER today.

In the BEFORE
- the folder highlighted above shows the record count that matches below.
- when I click to open each folder it shows the contents only of the bottom folder.

In the AFTER
- the folder above is now restored to the proper count and when I open it it shows the proper info.

The last time this happened - I tried everything from - stopping/restarting AM, and shutdown/restart the phone - to no avail.  It somehow just cleans up itself.  I also checked the source - Fastmail - and saw nothing wrong - everything was fine.    I seem to also recall removing the smaller accounts from the list and re-adding it to no avail.  Something on the S3 (somewhere) is out of sync then synced.

Please note I didn't attach a 3rd picture but there was something odd.  I had received a new email in my main folder (below) and then the counts read:
TOP - 1215/6184
BOT - 1215/6185 .. normally both folders always show the same counts.

If there was a known cache or something to do then that would be a kludge but as it stands this is what happens.  Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.

Otherwise -- excellent app - thank you so much for the Outlook connection method - I use that with our office email and now AM supports my Fastmail/GMail/Outlook accounts perfectly.

Cheers!

I believe this might be fixed now, related to a combination of IMAP IDLE and occasionally poor network connectivity.

The fix will be included in 1.3.26 later tonight (after I've answered other messages and integrated latest translation updates).
