Hi everybody,
whenever I try to open a .jpg file in AuquaMail Pro I get the following error (roughly translated by me): "No application(s) found to open attachment type image/jpeg
Saved as...."
K-9 and the built-in email client (CM 10.1 nightly) open the same jpg without the slightest hazzle.
Any help appreciated.
Regards,

That's my bug, sorry about that.
Please try this version, you can install it over your current one:
http://www.aqua-mail.com/download/AquaMail-market-1.2.0.7.9.apk
A peek at what's coming:
- Swipe between message text and a new, larger attachments panel
- Image previews
- Default tap action changed to "view without saving into /sdcard/downloads" to keep it less cluttered
- Per-attachment action menu (e.g. "Share" to save attachments in DropBox, or to send to a printing app)
-
Thanks for the lightning fast reply.
The linked apk works.
The peek preview for future versions look just awesome. Glad I made the choice to leave K-9 (and Kaiten) after all the years (have been using it since good old HTC Hero times).
I don't wont to be annoying - but I found another small bug. In the trash folder the three menu dots and the attachement icon are placed at the same space. Therefore only the menu works. I marked it in the attached image. (Landscape mode is fine)
By the way - why is there a trash can icon in the trash folder. Imho only the delete button (cross) makes sense in this folder.
Regards and keep up the tremendous work

Thank you. Feel free to try this development version:

The overflow button overlapping the attachment button is a bug in Android (reported, fixed in 4.1 or 4.2, IIRC). But the new attachments UI doesn't need it anymore.
This means, among other things, that on devices with a hardware Menu button (which therefore don't use the overflow button) each message will have the prev and next buttons visible in the action bar, regardless of whether there are attachments or not.
