Title: Identities backup
Post by: bukox on January 19, 2014, 01:50:42 pm
Hello.
Built-in backup tool does not include added identites into accounts. After restoring e-mail settings from backup there are missing added identities.

Best regards

Could not reproduce.

Please not that restore will not add identities from backup to an already existing account.

In other words, the granularity level for backup / restore is one account (with attached identities or not).

Hello.
Thank you. I removed whole data from AquaMail on my tablet (settings -> application -> AquaMail -> clear data) and restore backup created on my smartphone. One account contains added identities. Accounts and other settings was correctly restored unfortunately without identities. I've repeated it few times and the effect of the same. E-mail account is IMAP.

Best regards

So one account's identities were restored but not the others'? Does the backup actually contain identities for those other accounts?

Not. Only 1 account includes identities and they have not been restored. I remove all data from application before restoring.

So you do not have a problem with restoring identities? Is the reason may be that it is IMAP? Does anybody else try to backup account with identities and try to restore it?

Now it works. I have found possible reason. I've just uninstall AquaMail from my tablet, install it again and then restore settings from backup. Earlier I only clear data from settings -> application so propably it wasn't clear whole data.
