My copy of AquaMail Pro auto-updated today to v.1.3.6. I tried to send an e-mail pasting in the same closing I always use, and I got nothing. I figured the clipboard had been cleared, so I hand-typed it, copied it, and attempted to paste it in again. Still nothing. I switched to a different app, pasted the clipboard text, and got exactly what I expected, so the copy function is clearly working; that just leaves paste. This worked fine yesterday, before the update.
Incidentally, I close e-mails differently depending upon the recipient, so I don't want to use a .sig.

Just tried this with 1.3, could not make it happen.
Could you please clarify:
- The device and its Android version
- Were you pasting plain or formatted text? If formatted, could you try pasting plain text (as a test)?
-
Samsung Galaxy S3, Android 4.1.2, and I was copying plaintext. Two dashes and my name, as a signature.
-
Additionally, if I copy the text to the clipboard in another app (such as SMS messaging), it pastes fine in AquaMail and elsewhere. I just can't copy from AquaMail and paste that text into AquaMail. Very strange.

I can copy text from Gmail email (not AquaMail), go to AquaMail and paste in new message or in my signature, without problem. The same from SMS...
Try to restart the device and AquaMail or install again over the existing version.
Do you have the last one?
-
Yes, I can copy from other apps and past into AquaMail as well. I can also copy from AquaMail and paste elsewhere. I've restarted several times, and the issue persists.

In AquaMail, I copy a portion of a message and I can paste inside a new message...

Ok. I don't happen to own an S3, but do have an S4. Will try to reproduce.
Incidentally, I have code in the app that handles pasting, bypassing system code, because of a potential crash (Android 4.1-4.3, IIRC). I'll take a look.

Ok, I tried to reproduce on a Galaxy S4 (Android 4.2.2) and was not able to.
When you say that the issue persists, does it mean it happens with any text? Or just certain "magic" text?
If the latter, what is it, exactly? Screenshots would be best, feel free to email me at kmansoft / gmail.
