Title: Data problem
Post by: jlo on October 17, 2013, 01:35:35 pm
Hello,

Despite choosing conservative settings for the mobile network option, the app has used over 700mb of data in the last week. This cannot be explained by emails and attachments alone.

I believe this could be a bug? Is there some kind of data loop?

Can you please help? I love the app but obviously cannot use it and have already incurred significant data costs...

Thanks

One thought that springs to mind: a very large "messages per page" setting combined with frequent mail checking (or push, especially with Gmail).

If that's not it,  I'd be happy to investigate a debug log or two.

Same problem as well. This wasn't an issue when I first started using AM, but I've noticed lately (4-6 wks?) that it is getting progressively worse (100's of MB in a few days) even as I've been trimming my settings to almost nothing. Something's up.

I will check my settings again and try your suggestions if not already implemented. Will report back as needed.

That said, looove Auqa Mail! Thanks for a great product!  :)

KeCha - another thing that comes to mind is the attachment preloading for IMAP.

Long press the account -> Options and Folders -> Preload.
