Sorry if this is in the wrong place or has already been asked/answered.
I purchased AquaMail so I can have more than 2 email accounts. I set them all up and they work correctly, but when I compose a new email AquaMail, by default picks an account that I rarely want to send from. I believe AquaMail chooses the account to send from alphabetically. Hence It always wants to send from my "Accounting" account.
How do I set a different default account to send emails from. Its a pain (and I often forget) to switch to the account correct account I wish to send from.
Thank you in advanced for all your help. (I swear I looked through all the advanced settings and didn't see what I'm looking for)

Howdy,
From the main menu (where all your accounts are listed):
- Press the options icon (three vertical boxes)
- Select Settings
- At the top of the menu, is the section Settings Mode, if you're not in Extended settings, set it.
- Near the bottom of the Extended settings menu, you'll find under COMPOSING AND SENDING, the Default account. Change it to whichever account you'd like.
HTH.

Thanks pablo. I cant believe I didn't see it in the list when I read over it 10 time. I appreciate your reply!!

You're welcome. I certainly understand why you didn't see it .. Aqua Mail has so many features, to take them all in, it's like drinking water from a water hydrant. :)

Thank you Pablo. You're right about the number of settings. I'm amazed by your continually excellent answers.

Hi Kostya,
I think it's absolutely wonderful that the design of AquaMail makes it easy for the end user to configure it to suit their tastes. As a developer, I can appreciate what you've done with your app. It's quite cool!
Happy holidays Kotstya.

Hello,
I've been able to set my default send account in the past, but it's not working now. I can set it (to the email I want). However, the default will be that email only if I'm composing it from scratch, or if I've received an email to it, and am replying. If I've received an email from the other account, when I hit reply, it defaults to the email that received the email. So, basically, it will not follow the default email rule --when replying to an email received by any but the default account.
-
The default is for new message only, if you replay the account proposed is the same you receive, you can change in the top of message.
Could be a new option to set the default account for replay also... But a seconda setting.

"If I've received an email from the other account, when I hit reply, it defaults to the email that received the email"
Yes, the assumption is that it would be kind of strange if someone sends you a message to one account and gets a reply from a whole different one...
Are you perhaps using one of those accounts as an alias "under" the other?
Meaning you have the main account collect incoming mail for the other one?
If so, you could remove the "child" account and add the address as an alias (identity) under the "parent" account, and then there is a setting, on the identity / alias config screen, to always reply from the "parent" account, even for messages that were received under the alias.

Found this thru Google. Holy crap who would have thought the setting is buried that deep. Glad someone had the problem and got the answer - saved me frustration. In my case I wrote an email and sent it thru work email not personal rofl. Not the end of the world, but it feels weird since I wrote things unrelated to my job.

Thus, the solution implementated in AquaMail is good (brilliant) or less good?

Honestly it is all about documentation and/or guides for me. I do not mind looking at google like I did for my case, but if somehow AM can guide me in-app easier it would be great.

The first step I recommend to deal with the functionality of the app would be to go through the FAQ page:
