I wonder if you can help?
I have reset my Nexus 4 and installed Android 4.3, before I did this I backed up Aquamail using the Aquamail Backup and Restore procedure. I copied the folder AquaMail_Backup and its content to my desktop pc.
On my freshly installed Android 4.3 I copied the folder and its content from my pc to the Nexus 4. When I try and restore the backup and get the following error:-
Error:java.io.IOException: pad block corrupted
Can you help or do I have to setup all my mail accounts and Aquamail settings again?

Sorry, yes, a bug in my code that is tripped by the change in system encryption functions in Android 4.1.
Once you're up and running on 4.1 or later (including 4.3) it should work. Only crossing the line from pre 4.1 to 4.1 and later trips this issue. Sorry, encryption is not my strong point... and I really don't want to mess up existing backups that people already have on their devices.

The Phone I have is a Nexus 4, I'm going from JB 4.2 to JB 4.3.

4.2 to 4.3..... I'll take a look, thanks. The system encryption code might have changed again (?)

This is apparently still a problem.
I am trying to restore my backup from my 4.3 S3 to my new 4.4 Note 3 and I 'm getting the same . What's going on?

I won't try to weasel -- well, if you see it happening, then it's definitely happening.
However, I've asked someone who is a real expert in Java / Android security to take a look at my code, and he did not find anything wrong.
So I'm not sure what to think of it -- a bug in my code, files getting corrupted during transfer, or something else?
