Title: Do not show number of unread emails in Android App
Post by: warhansen on June 19, 2013, 01:44:21 pm
Hi there,

I would like to know if there is a way to NOT show the amount of unread emails when I open an account in the app. I have a Android phone and I still want to get alerts when new emails arrive as always, but when I open the Accounts, then it shows the number of unread emails. However I connect via IMAP so I cannot mark all as read (about 995), so I would prefer to just not see the amount of unread emails in the first place. Is this possible?

Thank you.

It is for now not possible to disable the unread message count.
Why can you not mark all messages as read?

I suggest using web mail to mark old unread messages as read. This would only need to be done once.

Takes only a few clicks in Gmail web mail (just in case it's Gmail):

And should be similar for other mail providers.
