Hello,
I know this has been asked I'm pretty sure of it! I am trying to merge my new live mail account with my aquamail, now here lies the problem I am trying to set up this account via IMAP and I keep getting this error (Incoming mail server (IMAP) Network error please make sure data is correct.) Here are my current settings.
[Incoming server] [Outgoing server]
Server type: IMAP SMTP server: smtp.live.com
Server name: imap.live.com Security type: STARTTLS (strict check)
Security type: SSL (strict check) Server port: 587
Server port: 993 Authorization: Choose automatically
Any further help would be wonderful!

IMHO there is NO IMAP for hotmail in this moment but only Exchange ActiveSync.

Awe really? Well I came from a Blackberry which I thought used similar since it would sync up my content plus if I read a new email via my phone it would mark it as read if I logged in manually from a PC, Does that mean I am limited on options?

You can set it up as POP3 account with all the features a normal POP3 account has.

Then it downloads all my current emails to one device correct?

Correct, but only the Inbox, other folders will not be synchronized.

Yes, it's POP3 right now -- even though last August MS promised to add IMAP, it seems like they're "sleeping in Seattle" over there :)
The IMAP instructions, if you see them somewhere on the web, are for Office 365 users, who do have IMAP access, but authentication will fail for regular Hotmail accounts.
Aqua Mail has automatic setup for @live.com, using POP3, just enter your name / email / password and hit Next.
