Title: Unread email not showing up

I know I have unread email in my folders because when I go on my roommate's computer I can see it there, but it only shows up in Aqua Mail if I search for it specifically, and unless I use another computer every single time to check how will I know what emails I'm not receiving when I don't receive them?

What account is this? IMAP / POP, what provider?

Is the app checking mail (or not) -- please try a manual refresh to see if the issue is mail checks not happening, or that they are happening, but the app is not seeing new mail?

To diagnose further: long press the account, choose last item (Diag: message dates), follow the instructions. Thanks.
